Welcome to Bluestone Acres Vineyard web site. As you will see from the panorama at the bottom of this page it is a beautiful location with a north sloping aspect.

The name Bluestone Acres was chosen because of a vein of basalt which runs through the property. It is particularly prevalent in the sauvignon blanc block and adds a touch of minerality which enhances the wine.

Bluestone Acres is a small, family owned and operated Yarra Valley vineyard which produces high quality sauvignon blanc, merlot and shiraz wine grapes. These grapes are processed into top quality wines which express the individual characteristics of the vineyard and are produced for enjoyment with food.

Many of our wines have won awards at professional wine judgings although we do not submit wines from vintages with small volumes.

The vineyard is run using environmentally sustainable viticulture practices. The use of chemical sprays is kept to the bare minimum required to avoid crop damage from fungal diseases. Pesticides are not used at all. The vines are watered from rainfall only.

All of our wines are made solely from grapes grown on the property.
