In the vineyard…
The vines are growing rapidly due to intermitent episodes of warm sunny weather and rain. Activities are centred around keeping growth under control, protection against fungal growth and mitigating frost risk as much as possible. The vineyard is looking clean and green at this stage.
Significant rainfall experienced during the first half of this year has ensured that the soil profile is full. This will carry the vines through until harvest 2012.
And the wines…
Our 2010 sauvignon blanc was released in November and is now our current vintage.
We added a rosé to our range in 2008 and due to its popularity we followed up with a 2009 rosé which was released in November 2009. We are currently sold out of rosé. Due to a poor season in 2011 we did not produce a 2011 rosé. Now that we have sold out of the 2009 vintage we must await the 2012 vintage for another rosé.
We released our 2008 Merlot in June 2011 and is now our current vintage.
We released the 2006 shiraz in June 2010. This wine has now developed complexity and is well received by the public. Stocks should last until early 2012 when it will be time to release the next vintage.
Our 2007 shiraz is developing well in the bottle and will continue to do so for the next 12-18 months.
